Mental and Emotional Effects on Health

Posted on 30 July, 2016 at 14:50 Comments comments (7)

It has now been discovered that the way we think and feel much of the time,
can and does impact our health for good and not so good. So in the interest
of better health and happy dispositions, I am writing these things,
so you can be aware of them.

Fear, conflict and un-forgiveness show up in cancer. Bitterness and anger show up in the liver or gallbladder. Worry and anxiety show up in allergies, digestive and gut disorders. Hate and resentment show up in arthritis and inflammation. Negativity shows up in poor quality health. Each one of these can lead to a host of different maladies and mental disorders – yes, they create chemical imbalances along with a poor diet. Stress, allowed to go by unmanaged is the biggest, most common threat to most people’s health.

So we need to work with our attitudes, quality of our thoughts……….managing our diet and stress levels to gain or maintain good health.

Most people don’t avail themselves of enough sleep and exercise. Sunshine and fresh-air. Affording yourself more of these can improve your health significantly.

Don’t underestimate the benefits from our Creator and Nature – the most overlooked promoter of good physical and mental health in this rushed and busy generation. On a regular basis, you need to foster a special environment – some nature spot – to nourish your mind and emotions, bring fresh air into your body and lift your temperament. We all need this visual reminder of our Creator on a regular basis that will strengthen our spirit against so much exposure to stressful times.

Just something like bearing grudges often enough sets off stress signals in our bodies, that in time have to affect our health somehow, either physically or mentally. So try to practice kindness to yourself and the other person and let this pay dividends to your health. Most times, grudges come about by perceiving things wrongly, letting our imagination work overtime, misinterpreting the other person or failing to make allowances. Besides, it takes up so much energy, that could be better spent, keeping our mental real-estate more
peaceful and happier.

Having said that, some of us do need to acquire the skills of making boundaries, when someone (a family member or friend) keeps offending. This can be stressful I know. We need to work at communications in those situations – especially with family members because they are permanent. And some of us would do well to choose our friends better and make
 a few amendments.

Also, some of us do ourselves no favors with self-imposed obligations like “this person really needs me”……or……”what would they do without me?”……or……”I can’t say this or that to them, they would be very upset”. If you practice love for the other person, fine…….but if you don’t practice love for yourself, not so fine. Some of you need to remember these things in your considerations. Some of you do not have the ability to say “no” and you need to acquire that because nothing is worth the threat to your health that can be over time. I wish you well.

********

Stress as a trigger of autoimmune disease.

Many retrospective studies found that a high proportion (up to 80%) of patients reported uncommon emotional stress before disease onset. Not only does stress cause disease, but the disease itself also causes significant stress in the patients, creating a vicious cycle. It is presumed that the stress-triggered neuroendocrine hormones lead to immune dysregulation, whichultimately

management and behavioral intervention to prevent stress-related immune imbalance.

It’s important to take a holistic and comprehensive approach in order to find the best treatment and lifestyle options. This includes finding a practitioner who will address the mental, emotional, and spiritual components of your health.

The people in your life have the best intentions when offering advice but until you thoroughly understand how YOUR body works, it’ll be difficult to find the ideal treatment approach that could change YOUR life.

The types of food, exercise, supplements and lifestyle choices you need are unique. Part of this discovery will be on a trial-and-error basis. But your needs will become clear as you work closely with your health care provider over time.

Move your body

Moving your body is an essential component of treating any chronic health issue.

It increases blood flow to the tissues, allowing for more toxins to be released, and brings essential nutrients to the organs that need it most. It increases energy, helps balance hormones and your mood, and it helps people sleep better. And it’s a great stress reliever.

Some of the best forms of exercise are nourishing and gentle such as: walking, yoga, stretching, swimming or even pulling weeds.

Strive to reduce stress

Life-long, chronic stress has a profoundly negative impact on autoimmune disease because it significantly reduces your body’s ability to heal itself.

When you’re in a constant state of “fight or flight” you cannot detoxify, heal, metabolize properly, or utilize your immune systems to full capacity.

Many of us are under so much constant daily stress that we hardly recognize it anymore. And, sometimes, the chronic stress is unrecognizable and may be subconscious (such as negative thoughts, unresolved emotional traumas or toxicity found in our workplaces, community, and relationships).

Deep breathing, yoga, meditation, journaling, prayer, practicing gratitude, playing outside and sharing good conversation with friends are all great ways to reduce stress in your life.

Learning to love ourselves can be one of the most challenging components of health. But working to create emotional peace, and practicing self-compassion and self-love is powerful.

According to Louise Hay, the go-to guru for the connection between illness and emotion, many people with autoimmune diseases have, deep within their bodies, some kind of destructive message that needs to be revealed and transformed.

In my eyes, this destructive message correlates very deeply to your disease. Autoimmune disease is essentially your physical body betraying you (by attacking you). Part of the underlying emotional healing that needs to take place is releasing your own self-betrayal.

PARTING THOUGHTS

Many people with autoimmune disease are relieved to know that they have a tremendous amount of power when it comes to their health. There are many options, in addition to or instead of, a prescription medication regimen.

It’s often the overlooked, unconventional things that can turn the tides toward healing

 in your life.

Every woman deserves to feel fully alive and at peace in her body.

Your physical challenges are often great gifts which, when opened, provide the opportunity for tremendous personal and spiritual growth.

Many blessings to you as you continue on your journey to renewed health.

Medications or Good Health?

Posted on 11 October, 2015 at 6:34 Comments comments (0)
Medically induced conditions are escalating quite seriously.
Lawsuits are on the rise because of malpractice, defective drugs
and scandalously dishonest pharmaceutical manufacturers
who's glory is their shame. You owe it to yourself and family
to be informed about these things. Maybe for a good friend!

My advice to Readers: Don’t turn your body into a money making machine – Companies like the above have no conscience when it comes to profit. Neither do GP/MDs often because their dispensing of medications is often accompanied with careless neglect to do their homework (check things out) but concern themselves with what the drug companies tell them in
blind trust while expecting you to do the same.

Did you know that Medical Practitioners are given attractive incentives for prescribing
various medications?
Sadly to say, some attract more commission than others.

Here, I would like to commend four dedicated GPs in Australia I know.

The 1st one is very sparing with Anti-Pain medications and prescribes Pain Management and reading about natural cures because he knows the negative ramifications of taking too much or too many.

The 2nd one sent a Company Representative out on his heels (so to speak) rather than take risks with his patients. I heard the young man say “the benefits outweigh the risks” as he was chased out of there.  For those who don’t know, they are legal drug-pushers who peddle for profits. You may have seen one occasionally at your local clinic – they carry briefcases in their hands with sophisticated material and free samples.

The 3rd one asked me on one occasion if I was out of any scripts and refused to dispense one when he thought it was doubling up. I said to check out the files and he would discover my words were true that I seldom take one (because there would be only 1-2 pkts of 30 prescribed in a year) and I take natural measures first. He was starting out careful. He actually said “you can’t have whatever you want” I wish more practitioners were responsible like that!

The 4th one is a general practitioner who became a Natural Practitioner some years back
and stays in a Medical Center consulting. He specializes in Nutrition with all his patients
for physical and Mental conditions and selectively prescribes a medication when absolutely necessary ensuring that their nutritional requirements are met while taking them.

Many practitioners are lazy with homework and observations when it comes to prescribing medications. Their knowledge consists mostly of what the manufacturers tell them.
Some GP/MDs have certain ones they stay with
and others are influenced by the visiting company representatives with whatever comes out that gives them a good impression. It is good to be thorough when dispensing scripts that could make or break someone's health or their pocket.

These things were necessary to tell you because most of the public are unaware of them. Please do not subscribe to the theory that "they can do no wrong" because that is proven
not to be true to countless patients every day.

We do not live in a perfect world. Therefore both you and your practitioner
should be very careful.

That's an absolute necessity! They are not God, they are not your hero, they are fallible like you and me. I do not mean to undermine your confidence in your practitioner but sometimes
we can be too confident.

PLEASE BE ADVISED!

Some GP/MDs dispense scripts like confectionary
Some patients request scripts like confectionary
Try to avoid either – be not quick receivers!

Friends, if you or someone you know are taking multiple medications, it is highly probable that the later medications you are taking are given to treat ill-effects of medications you have been on previously. A large number of medications are notorious for serious side-effects and to a lesser extent for medical induced maladies.
That does not make them less real – many people could tell
you that who battle in everyday life because of these realities.

SORRY TO TELL YOU THAT’S WHY THE MEDICAL PROFESSION IS A SICKNESS INDUSTRY
NOT A HEALTH PROFESSION AS SOME WOULD THINK.
IF THEY REALLY DO MAKE PEOPLE BETTER, HOW-COME THEIR WAITING ROOMS ARE INUNDATED
WITH SO MANY REPEAT VISITS EVERY DAY? THINK ABOUT IT.

THE MAIN REASON IS THEY TREAT THE SYMPTOM NOT THE CAUSE AND THEY DO SO
WITH MAN-MADE MEDICAL DRUGS!

THE OTHER LEAD CAUSE IS REACTIONS TO AND BUILD UP OF HARMFUL CHEMICALS
IN MODERN FOODS AND AGRICULTURE. MUCH OF WHAT THOSE MANUFACTURERS DO
TO OUR HEALTH IS NOTHING SHORT OF CRIMINAL TOO.
BUT THE FDA ALLOWS ALL THIS WITH LITTLE CORRECTION.
WHY? THEY HAVE INVESTED INTERESTS – REVENUE FOR GOVERNMENT!
IT’S FALSE ECONOMY REALLY BUT THEY GAMBLE WITH YOUR HEALTH AND MINE.
THIS IS NOT FAIR! SOME COUNTRIES DO NOT HAVE THAT SYSTEM
AND THEIR PEOPLE ARE MUCH HEALTHIER AND HAPPIER FOR IT.

THE EVIDENCE OF THE STATEMENT ON FDA YOU CAN FIND ON THE RESEARCH SCENE
BY THOSE WHO USED TO WORK FOR THE FDA AND WERE ALARMED AT THE
AMOUNT OF INFORMATION (AND STATISTICS) THAT WAS HIDDEN FROM
PRACTITIONERS AND THE PUBLIC. THIS OFFENDED THEIR CONSCIENCE
TO KEEP WORKING UNDER THOSE CONDITIONS.
THE FDA INFLUENCES ALL WESTERN COUNTRIES LIKE AUSTRALIA.
SORRY TO REPORT THESE THINGS TO YOU.

Word of Caution:

Many medications can alter or mess-up your chemistry.
Our body has what is called a Bio-Chemistry.
Bio means natural, having to do with life, and this bio-chemistry responds best
with natural remedies such as natural herbs and supplements…….
specific foods…….superfoods and powders.
With most of these, there are natural properties that
are in-tact rather than separated. These remedies assist systems in our body
to function better and return to a normal state.

On the other hand, pharmaceuticals consist of certain properties of plants
etc that have been isolated and put together. Often, plants that are harmful
to ingest are used in these formulations.
How does our body respond to this? So often a part of our chemistry will
behave differently than it was made to by a wise creator......giving rise to
other problems.

Also, the danger often is that properties that were never meant to take together
are manufactured together.
And pharmaceuticals are made on the principle of making your body respond
rather than helping it to respond.
Now the problem is_ because our body senses foreign material not what it is made
to respond to......for many of us, it reacts in other ways as well.

THIS IS THE PRIMARY REASON FOR SO MANY SIDE-EFFECTS THAT GO
WITH THE PROFILE OF EACH AND EVERY MEDICATION.
THAT’S WHY THEY ARE CALLED MEDICAL DRUGS!

It is important to say here that there are some instances where a medication
will play a certain role that other things do not. In those instances, it is
sometimes advisable to take a specialized medication for a specific task
because it can be beneficial when nothing else works.
Most health professionals will tell you to check out the natural options first
and do not take medications unless absolutely necessary.
I subscribe to that.

With so much stress and the pace of life in general, it is very important
to keep our brain and body in as natural state as possible.
You do this with healthy mindsets, lifestyle and diet.

Your best weapons are:

Real Foods in place of modern foods
Fresh air and sunshine – Quality filtered water
Exercise moderately – not excessively
Deep breathing to encourage fresh oxygen
A good healthy 7-8 hours sleep – at least 5 nights a week
Cut out sugar and don’t opt for artificial sweeteners!
Chuck out the chemicals in your diet
Buy organic or grow your own if possible
Cut down your TV viewing to benefit your eyes and brain
Develop healthy thinking patterns and conversation
Relax more often and enjoy some quiet-time
Close communications are important
not to be neglected.

So you see, we have choices to make that will foster better health.
All the best as you venture in this Quest for Life.
